We believe that student success upon graduation directly correlates with deliberate instruction and purposeful practice in the area of communication skills, specifically print, verbal and visual communications.
We have created this website, separate from our parent website, FirefliesBlog.com, so that we have a place to share best practices in introducing and teaching communication skills for students PK – 5th grade.
Here is where you will find experiences to share with the children in your home or classroom, experiences that will grow their communication skills. You will find readers theatre and radio scripts for you to use at home, books for you to make and display on home or school book shelves, and visual messages to create.
Each year we will announce a theme, publish a list of selected children’s books, and invite students in K – 6th grade to join us on a year-long communications adventure.
